Sophie’s school has an annual tradition: the Kindergarten Sleepover.

All the kids camp out in the classroom with their teacher (poor woman).
They arrive in their jammies, and after dinner of breakfast (waffles, eggs, fruit…), they run around on the grass and play games, watch a movie with popcorn, and have a guided “midnight walk” around campus (at about 9pm) with their flashlights.

It’s quite an event that the students really look forward to, and Sophie Jane was no exception.

She had her backpack packed, including Sketch the giraffe (who was mine as a kid).

Sophie’s teacher said Soph was the last to fall asleep (not shocking), nearly had to be separated from her best friend (par for the course) and was the first awake in the morning (totally expected).

She came home exhausted, but happy.
