Sophie and Natalia have been friends since they were infants. Natalia is the first friend Sophie made that did not involve us pushing one on our friends’ kids on her (bonus: she has very cool parents).
Their friendship has had staying power through preschool. With the start of kindergarten next month at different schools I know Sophie has a little anxiety. I, however, am not concerned.
If Sophie has learned anything from her mother, it is the importance of friendship.
I suspect we will have many more years of Natalia&Sophie.
We’ve been talking to Natalia about kindergarten. About two sentences after she says that she is excited about it is, she says: “we’ll have playdates with Sophie, because Sophie isn’t in my new school”… Sophie is always in Natalia’s thoughts.
BTW: I love this picture!
We know never to diminish the power or prognosis of friendships made in childhood! Amen, sister. This picture speaks a thousand words. Sophie will be like her mother, and hold her friendships sacred until the end of time. Love you, K
Reminds me of you and Kik! 🙂
