Cavalia was playing here, so (after a ton of research about their humane practices – I almost never attend shows with animals in them) we took Sophie to see it for her birthday.
Think Cirque du Soleil. With horses. Some without even a bridle or rider.
WOW.
If this show travels anywhere near you, do yourself a favor and GO.
Obviously Sophie was over the moon about it. She now wants to be IN it. Doing roman riding or trick riding. God help me.
I took Sophie out to lunch today after her school’s holiday sing-along to celebrate the start of winter break.
We had a major record-scratch moment when two of her teachers sat at a table next to us to have lunch.
It was like she’s seen a unicorn or something; she really could not believe it. I think it’s how I would act if Johnny Depp had waltzed in and sat next to us. Or how Scott felt when he happened upon a Sesame Street taping with Murray the muppet in Central Park. Major celebrity sighting.
